EVENTS / REDKEN
Photos: rosemodern
I'm such a huge Redken fan. After receiving so many samples at fashion week earlier in the year and only just having used them all up, I'm planning to run out and get some more ASAP!! Now the big question is what... the Blonde Glam products were absolutely made for my hair, but I also love Smooth Down and Body Full... tough decisions!
Anyway, during Mercedes Benz Sydney Fashion Festival I was invited to go backstage with the amazing Redken team to watch them work their magic for 2 different shows. For the first show, Myer, a gorgeous slicked back ponytail was created which suited the clothes perfectly. So simple and chic. And then there was the Famous Magazine show, where the models had those loose bouncy curls I often try to recreate and fail miserably. I have the products, now all I need are those expert hands!
Hope you have fun with these pics, and all tips are welcome on getting those curls!! (pleeeeease)

EVENTS / ASOS
Big apologies for disappearing on you! Life got in the way a bit there, finishing up uni (yes!!) and some other fun stuff. I've got so much to share with you guys about what I've been up to and I can't wait!
Let's kick off today with the long-awaited launch of ASOS Australia. Last week I went to the absolutely stunning launch party at CarriageWorks hosted by Isabel Lucas and enjoyed the strong drinks and awesome blogger company. And who needs an excuse to get all decked out in ASOS? Fun was had all round. And then the very next day I got to view the AW12 collection up close, and fell in love with more than a few pieces (umm, everything...). Let's just say I'll be waiting for some of these to come out with my finger hovering over 'Add to Bag' with impatience.
Hope you enjoy a sneak peek of what's to come above.

VOSN - ARE YOU READY?
Minutes away from the start of Vogue's online shopping night. To help you get ready to shop, I asked Felicity Loughrey, Editor of vogue.com.au, a few questions about the night...
It’s Vogue’s first Online Shopping Night. What was the inspiration behind the idea?
We love shopping. We love shopping in store and we love shopping online. We wanted to put together an event that celebrated Australia’s e-tail talent, give our readers great deals and have a fantastic night in.
Do you have any hot tips for making the most of the night?
The great thing about online shopping is that one sale leads to the next. We would suggest clicking on our partner sites and definitely keep a screen open on your laptop for our Facebook, Twitter and Tumb lr feeds that will highlight amazing deals as the night unfolds.
Which offer are you most excited about?
If only I wasn’t an employee I would love to enter the Net-a-Porter £5000 shopping spree.
This is also the first time Vogue Australia has worked with bloggers. What has motivated the change and what do you believe blogs can bring to the Vogue experience?
I love fashion blogs. Adore them. The thing about online is that you can read www.vogue.com.au, and you can read ten other websites. In the online world we can all work together as the only limit is people’s time (I could spend all day reading my favourite blogs).

EVENTS / CAMILLA
The designer Camilla Franks and I
Photos: rosemodernToday I went to a blogger event at the incredible Camilla beach house to view Camilla's new A/W range, the Woodstock Collection. I've always admired the gorgeous prints and long flowing silhouettes the brand is known for, but this collection took it to a new level. Darker colours and opulent fabrics and textures galore. Luxurious does not even begin to describe it- hand painted leather and cashmere layered with silks and swarovski crystals. We were talked through the 101 ways to style every piece, but what really caught my eye was some of the details- amazing printed platforms that perfectly matched the clothes, the turbans, and the crystals in the shape of necklaces.
It can't be left unsaid how beautiful Camilla herself is, inside and out. So easygoing and friendly, the brand is a complete reflection of her brilliant personality. And umm the house, can I please move in?! I know its a store but we can totally work around that!

Here's some snaps from this past week, the cool down after the craziness of fashion week...
1. Relaxed mornings of green tea and post editing
2. Previewed the SS 11 eyewear collections from The Safilo Group- some amazing shades by Marc by Marc Jacobs, Carrera, Gucci and more that I'll be on the lookout for once they hit stores
3. I'll take this BOSS pair please
4. Genius nail polish CND Shellac, still no chips 10 days on- a miracle for me considering how much I rough up my hands!
5. Wine, cheese, blogger reunions and a bit of shopping at Fashion Weekend
Hope you've all had a great week!

COLLECTION / FRIEND OF MINE
Photos: rosemodern
The cheeky Friend of Mine collection definitely stood out from all the rest during RAFW. I loved way too much to type it all out and my brain's a little fried at the moment, so here's what I jotted down during the show...
Alexandra Spencer styling and directing- killed it. Short short shorts. Bondage accessories. Rips, leather and mesh. The coolest hair of the week. Crazy music and energy. Talon claws on chunky boots (NEED!)

COLLECTION / YEOJIN BAE
Photos: rosemodern
One of my favourite collections from fashion week. Yeojin outdid herself, I always love her clothes but watching this show I had to actually hold myself back from clapping and gasping with each new look that came out. I could live in this collection, so pretty and sophisticated, sexy yet sweet. It was the colours that captured my heart, brights mixed with nudes. And how could I forget, my favourite outfit of the whole week- the tiny black sparkly shorts, silk nude top and red bra, and that perfectly tailored black blazer!
I also got the opportunity to head backstage before the show, to watch the craziness of hair and makeup and take a peek at the clothes. The loose braids and stunning coral lips were perfection, with the same easy playfulness of the clothes.
A big thank you to the Redken Retreat who gave me the fantastic Sony Bloggie which I've been obsessively filming videos with ever since, and to the wonderful Ruth who did my hair for the day! The Redken girls were just so lovely. And the front row seats, major snaps.
