THE RETURN

Well it looks like I'm back! I've been home in Australia for almost 2 weeks now and its been taking me a while to get back into the swing of things and switch out of holiday mode. Always so hard to do! This time its been especially hard- going into my very last semester of uni means some major life decisions have to be made to work out where I'm headed next. The next few months are definitely going to be both exciting and a little scary.

On another note, not long ago I went to the opening night of the Claire Inc residency at The Corner Shop in the Strand Arcade. Simply put, if you're in Sydney, you MUST go and check it out! A carefully selected treasure trove of exquisite vintage pieces from Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel, Moschino and more. I wish I had a picture to show you of something that caught my lovely friend's eye- beautiful big stud earrings with pearls around the edges, and the one and only Karl's face slightly etched into the centre! I love little details that you only see when looking closer.

Missed you all, can't wait to get back into blogging!

UPDATE

Hey everyone! I don't like to make excuses but I've had so little time to blog lately while travelling. I can't even describe how much fun I am having, discovering new places with every step and revisiting some old favourites. A quick catchup- I've been in the Loire Valley visiting all the beautiful castles (house hunting? haha), taking leisurely boat rides and meeting with lovely old friends in Venice, and am now wandering the  gorgeous canals and finding some very cool shops in Amsterdam. Tomorrow it will be London for almost a week, I can't wait since I've never been before! Looking forward to sharing some pictures with you when I have a bit more time...

Hope you're all taking the time to enjoy every new day and experience, no matter where we are its the littlest things that make us happiest!

INSPIRATION / TRAVEL

After 3 long days of travelling, I've finally made it to France and I'm heading off to the Loire Valley today. I'm not a big castle person but I'm definitely excited to see some of the ones down there. I got into Paris late afternoon yesterday and spent last night sipping on wine and nibbling on a charcuterie plate at La Palette in St Germain, definitely recommended!

Thanks for being patient with my lack of posts lately. I would love to know if you have any recommendations (food or shopping) for where I'll be travelling over the next month- London, Amsterdam and Paris! Can't wait to hear them!

FREEDOM

Well hey there! Apologies for my disappearance, thank you for all your lovely emails wondering where I was and when I'd be back. The last week I've had uni exams, you know the drill- either studying or wasting time doing anything to avoid studying. But now they're over and I'm back to blogging. And even better... I'm off to Europe in a week, can't wait! x
