EVENT / YUMMIE TUMMIE LAUNCH

Photos: rosemodern

A few nights ago was the Australian launch of Yummie Tummie, a shapewear brand founded and designed by celebrity stylist and fashion designer Heather Thomson. Fans of the brand include Oprah, Rachel Zoe, Blake Lively, Heidi Klum, and hey, even Michelle Obama is into these high quality yet affordable basics.

The pieces shown were fantastic- comfortable, sleek and sexy all at the same time. After the show, Heather talked me through every single piece, she was so passionate and just has the biggest personality ever! The Rhianna corset and Corinne skirt were favourites of mine (both seen above), obviously shapewear that is meant to be seen. The patented high tech fabrics were gorgeous and so soft and smooth, and the best thing? These pieces don’t budge as you’re wearing them- no riding up or slipping down or all those other uncomfortable no nos that can happen with shapewear. The models happily strutted down the runway with no worries of an oops moment!

Yummie Tummie is stocked in over 40 boutiques across Australia and can be found online at Net A Porter and here.

I love that everything Christine wears just looks so easy and wearable. Perfect draping and minimal but perfectly chosen accessories, with just the right amount of edge.

Maybe not what you would expect to hear from an Aussie but I'm so damn excited for winter. Of course I couldn't go without lazing on the beach for months over summer but I love the choice of clothes and layering that cold weather needs. Bring. it. on!!
